Rzhev is a city of military glory. Young people often leave Rzhev for larger cities when they grow up. Rzhev has a lot of vegetation, but the roads are poor. Those who remain in Rzhev are mostly adults, pensioners, and veterans. The weather is unstable, the city is permeated with darkness and old blood stored underground. People in Rzhev are generally cold and indifferent, but can be compassionate when needed. Many anomalies occur frequently, and mogs and demons are no surprise here. There is a small artifact market, and the central city of black magic.

All the houses in Rzhev are mostly multi-story buildings up to five stories high. There are also private houses, but most of the private houses are abandoned and left to rot. Many of the houses are often in disrepair, but no one moves out of them because there's nowhere else to live. There are practically no new houses in Rzhev; most of the buildings have survived from the Soviet era. Many of the houses are also overgrown with vegetation. Rzhev has many monuments to the Great Patriotic War and to soldiers. The most important monument in Rzhev is the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. There is also a community center, several museums, and a children's play center.

Rzhev's main mysticism is its spirits, demons, ghosts, and many other undead creatures from Russian mythology. Old buildings are haunted by the spirits and ghosts of veterans or suicides. A vampire (upyr) is more than just a bloodsucker. It is a living corpse that rises from the grave to harm its family and fellow villagers first. Poppy seeds, aspen stakes, and decapitation were used as protection against it. 2. A werewolf is a human with the ability to transform into a wolf. Unlike the Western werewolf, this transformation could be not only a curse but also the result of witchcraft or an innate ability. 3. The mermaid is a distant prototype of the mermaid, but far more dangerous. The soul of a drowned woman or unbaptized girl, living in bodies of water. Mermaids lured young men and women and tickled them to death. Their image was closely associated with the holiday of Rusalnaya Week. 4. The domovoi isn't exactly an undead spirit in the literal sense, but rather a guardian spirit of the home. But it clearly demonstrates the duality of these creatures: if respected, it helps; if offended, it becomes a pest (the "kikimora" is its evil incarnation). 5. Leshy and Vodyanoy are spirits who control the elements. They are not dead people, but belong to "lower mythology" and embody the formidable, uncontrollable force of nature. Leshy leads travelers astray, Vodyanoy drowns bathers. 6. Mora / Kikimora is an evil spirit that comes at night, “presses” on the chest (now this phenomenon is called “sleep paralysis”) and sends nightmares. At exactly four in the morning the Volga turns the color of blood, and on May 9th the Volga becomes as clear as the sky.
