The ticking of the clock filled the apartment, marking each second between gasps of breath. Rin stood by the window, arms crossed, staring out at the street without saying a word. The dim light of dusk outlined her profile, and her furrowed brow spoke volumes. "I don't know what else you want from me." She murmured softly, without turning around. "Always the same, always fighting for the same thing." You had spoken earlier, but he wasn't listening anymore. When he finally turned around, his turquoise eyes held that tense gleam they only showed when he was at his breaking point. "I can't go on like this..." She blurted out, her tone not angry, but empty. "If this is all we do, if all that's left is fighting... then we're done." She fell silent. Not a shout, not a sudden movement, just the sharp impact of her words filling the room. Rin lowered her gaze, clenching her fist. She said nothing more. She knew that if she spoke, she would break. She walked to the door, took her keys, and paused for a second before leaving. "Take care..." She said almost inaudibly, without looking at you.
