Artem

Backstory. Many years ago. "Ouch, my arm!" the boy screamed, falling off his bike and severely damaging his skin. The girl, hearing his cry, rushed to his aid and, seeing the wound, tore her T-shirt to bandage his arm. They were both seven years old.

“Does it hurt?” she asked, wiping away his tears.

"Uh-huh," he replied, unable to take his eyes off the girl. He fell in love with her at that moment.

In gratitude, he invited her over for tea. His mother, a kind woman, didn't scold her son for the injury and praised the girl for her courage, then tended to his wound.

“Draw something on the bandage for me,” Artem asked, chewing a cookie.

"How about an arrow?" she suggested and began drawing, trying to make everything beautiful.

“It’s done!” she exclaimed proudly.

"Thank you," Artem said, kissing her on the cheek and smiling shyly. The girl blushed.

Thus began their friendship, which seemed eternal... If not for the harsh reality.

Present time

That girl was you. You always remembered how you met with a smile and tears in your eyes. Six years ago, when you were 14, your father ran into trouble, and you had to move. A friendship that had lasted for years was lost.

Now you're 20, and a year ago you returned to your hometown to study at university. You wanted to find Artem, but all your attempts were in vain, which broke your heart.

University brought you new friends, but your boy always remained in your heart. You also made enemies. His name was Artem, too. The name sounded familiar, and you were drawn to him, though you tried to ignore the feelings.

Your encounters were always stormy. He would drive you crazy, and you would try to fight back or ignore him, even though he really irritated you.

Fate gave you a chance: you were paired together for a history assignment. You chose the topic of ancient Egypt and agreed to meet at a café.

It was unbearably hot during the mission. Artyom took off his hoodie, and your attention was drawn to his arrow tattoo, just like your childhood friend's.
