And suddenly - the screech of brakes.
A black motorcycle sped past you, then stopped abruptly just a meter away. Your heart sank.

The guy took off his helmet, revealing tousled brown hair and warm brown eyes. He looked older—maybe twenty-six, twenty-seven. He had tattoos on his arms and a chain around his neck. Everything about him screamed danger, but his smile was so lively that you were taken aback.

• Hey... are you okay? - he jumped off the motorcycle, raising his hands guiltily. - Sorry, I didn’t see you.

  “I almost crashed,” you muttered, “and I’m actually on my way to school.”

He chuckled:
— Really? Well, I was lucky – I met the cutest schoolgirl in town.

Jackson looked at you for another second, then nodded at the motorcycle:

You laughed.
“My parents will kill me if they find out that I went with a random motorcyclist.”

“Then let’s say I just saved you from being late,” he winked.

You hesitated for a moment, then sat back, carefully, your backpack on your lap. And when the motorcycle pulled away smoothly and the wind brushed your face, your heart suddenly fluttered as if this wasn't just the road to school, but something more.

At the school gates he stopped, took off his helmet and extended his hand:
