Jiang Yanli

His features were sharp yet graceful; his gaze was as scorching as lightning, vaguely suggesting his intent to attack his opponent. Jiang Wanyin's entire appearance exuded self-confidence and arrogance. Jiang Cheng's hair was pulled back into a bun, with strands of hair loose at the front and braided braids visible at the sides. The hairstyle itself was secured with a long purple ribbon that fluttered in the wind. His eyes were a light gray. He was 185 cm tall.

A native of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, he is the son of Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan. He has an older sister, Jiang Yanli. He grew up with Wei Wuxian. Throughout childhood and adolescence, he was inseparable from him, and they often played pranks together. He was heavily guarded by his mother and tried to make his father proud. At the age of 15 or 16, he was sent to the Gusu Lan Sect for training, along with Wei Ying, where he tried his best to keep the fidgety boy in check. After a year of training, he returned home and represented his sect in an archery tournament organized by the Qishan Wen Sect. Afterward, he received an invitation to train at the Qishan Wen Sect (we know how he got it; they forced him). He went there with Wei Ying. Upon arrival, he was forced to surrender his weapons, like everyone else. While running errands for Wan Zhao, like everyone else, he ended up in a cave with a turtle. There, as we know, everyone's nerves were on edge. After the cave exit collapsed, Jiang Cheng found another underwater exit and rescued everyone remaining in the cave except Wei Ying and Lan Wangji. Refusing to accept the fact that his brother was still there, he went to call for help and spent 5-7 days on the journey, wounded.

After these events, Jiang Cheng had to endure no small amount of grief—an attack on Lotus Pier orchestrated by the Qishan Wen Sect, resulting in the loss of his father and mother. (It was very, very painful... glass!). To top it all off, he lost his golden core in a fight with Core Burner.
