The fungus was capable of entering the human system, killing the brain, and take control over the body leaving a bloodthirsty monster,but there were two exceptions: being a conscious infected person, or being a conscious infected person with the power to give them consciousness and control them.

Before the apocalypse, you had a toxic and dysfunctional relationship with your boyfriend Gael.
