command spell
Command Spells: These are three commands that grant absolute control over a Servant. Function: They allow you to control a Servant, but they are also used to heal the Servant, increase its NP by 100%, or revive the team. Limitation: Each Servant only has three Command Spells. In the game Fate/Grand Order Command Codes: These are special abilities that are placed on a Servant's individual combat cards. Function: They grant additional effects to cards when used, such as increasing damage or NP generation. Activation: They only apply to the specific card where they are placed and are used once per battle. Unlocking: Requires using Command Code Keys in the "Enhance" section and paying QP to unlock the Servant card slots.
noble ghost
Diarmuid's first Noble Phantasm is Gáe Dearg, a long red lance that temporarily nullifies the effects of Magical Energy. [3][2][8] This weapon grants Diarmuid a significant advantage over Lancelot, as it can pierce through Owner's Knight enhancements. [11][12][9][24] Furthermore, it can also nullify the cloaking effects of Artoria Pendragon's Invisible Air or the protection of her armor. [10]
Diarmuid's second Noble Phantasm is Gae Buidhe, a short yellow spear that inflicts cursed wounds that cannot be healed. [2][8] Gae Buidhe was unable to defeat the Fairy King Ábartach. [35]
In combat, Diarmuid can wield his two Noble Phantasms, tightly wrapped in amulet cloth from tips to hilts. The cloth seals his abilities and acts as a countermeasure to prevent him from revealing his True Name. However, his abilities will begin to function immediately after he releases them. [36]
classroom skills
Classroom skills Magical Resistance (Rank B): Cancels spells with a spell of fewer than three lines. Even if they are the target of higher magic and higher rituals, they are difficult to affect. [2] Personal skills Mental Eye (True) (Rank B): Able to calmly analyze battle conditions even in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities of escaping a difficult situation. [2 Love Stain (Rank C): An inherent spell (curse) in the facial features that activates as soon as the target looks at the user's face; a Mystic Face. It charms people of the opposite sex with Magical Energy. Due to this Curse, he is known as "Diarmuid of the Love Stain." A woman who encounters Diarmuid develops a strong romantic affection for him. Its effects are similar to those of Charm-type Mystic Eyes. It can be avoided with the Magic Resistance skill. [2] While Irisviel von Einzbern, a homunculus with above-average Magic Resistance, is immune to its effects, an ordinary woman would be captivated by Diarmuid with just a glance. [10] Knight's Strategy (Rank B): A battle methodology that takes advantage of the flow of combat and induces the opponent to make a mistake, even without matching their strength. It is a skill not for gaining strength, but for causing the opponent to fail. It consists of keen observation to gamble on a momentary opportunity for victory. [2] During the Fourth Holy Grail War, Diarmuid managed to deceive Artoria Pendragon on multiple occasions, striking him twice with his Noble Phantasms. [10][11] Corrupt Love Flowing in Profusion (Rank A): Knight Strategy Upgrade in Fate/Grand Order.
The ability to attack simultaneously at short and long range gives Diarmuid an advantage over opponents wielding a single sword. However, in the case of Artoria Pendragon, she manages to turn the tables thanks to Invisible Air, which conceals the shape and length of her sword. Although Diarmuid can block all of her attacks, he cannot find an opening to deliver a fatal blow, and thus becomes exhausted after defending for a while. For this reason, Diarmuid is forced to reveal his own Noble Phantasms to gain the upper hand. [10] According to Sola-Ui Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri, Diarmuid's subsequent decision to aid Artoria against Lancelot was wise. To defeat Lancelot, he had no choice but to ally with her. Given Diarmuid's good compatibility with Lancelot, he and Artoria, working together, would have easily defeated him. However, Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald strongly disagreed. After using his Master's Perspective to analyze Artoria's abilities, he determined that Artoria was completely beyond Diarmuid's capabilities, and therefore considered it a failure to have missed such a great opportunity. [12]
During the rematch between Diarmuid and Artoria Pendragon, the latter refused to use her right hand as a sign of chivalry.
combat
Diarmuid Ua Duibhne's basic stats are not particularly high, but he excels at using battle tactics designed to overwhelm enemies stronger than himself. In particular, he is the natural enemy of those Heroic Spirits who rely on the powers of their Noble Phantasms to fight. [8]
In his right hand, Diarmuid wields the demonic spear Gáe Dearg, over two meters long. In his left, he carries Gáe Buidhe, which is one-third the length of the former. His strikes cover a wide area, and their power and speed are equivalent to what he would achieve with both hands. Furthermore, by using them with only one hand, Diarmuid can perform unconventional movements that would otherwise be impossible. Normally, a single spear has certain limitations. Due to its long reach, a gap inevitably occurs between two attacks. However, in Diarmuid's case, he can use the shorter spear as a consecutive strike without needing to feint or leave openings. [10]
personality
Diarmuid was an exceedingly proud and noble knight who wished to serve his lord with the utmost dedication. The geis that Gráinne imposed upon him was a test of his pride. He never blamed her for forcing him into it, and he deeply admired her capacity to renounce her pride, title, and future for love. He was constantly tormented by having betrayed his lord, and even when he died without Fionn intervening, he did not blame him for his actions. Diarmuid believed that, despite the cruel twist of fate that led him down this path, the days he had spent with his lord and his beloved had been lived to the fullest. Diarmuid saw the Holy Grail War as a miracle that would allow him to reclaim his pride as a knight by fighting in noble battles and delivering the Grail to his Master. He saw no point in making a wish upon the Grail, since the mere fact of being summoned had already partially fulfilled his greatest desire.
Diarmuid strictly adheres to the code of chivalry and maintains his knightly pride to the fullest, firmly believing in honor during battle. While being pursued by Fionn's knights, he refused to fight his former comrades. Despite having several opportunities to kill Artoria Pendragon and Kiritsugu Emiya, he refused because the circumstances under which he could have done so violated his code. During his battles with Artoria, he strives to offer the fairest terms possible. His code and pride also prevent him from ignoring evil. During the Caster Crisis, he even fought alongside Artoria, acting as her right-hand man, after she suffered the grave injury from Gáe Buidhe, so that he could face her again in battle in the future. He is willing to go so far as to destroy Gae Buidhe, to allow Artoria to use her Noble Phantasm to destroy Gilles de Rais, simply because Gilles himself is a great evil that must be eradicated, even though he himself gains no benefit from it.
appearance
Diarmuid is considered an extraordinarily handsome young man, with distinctive long hair styled back in a disheveled fashion, a lock of which falls over his face. He wears a dark teal outfit, similar to that of Cú Chulainn, due to their shared Celtic mythology.
Irisviel von Einzbern immediately notices that his features are capable of captivating a woman with a single glance. His most striking features are described as the high bridge of his nose and his arched eyebrows. His firm lips lend him a stoic air, but his eyes seem to make his gaze even more striking. Takeuchi considers his greatest appeal to be his droopy eyes and full lips. He exudes a strong and alluring masculine scent.
She soon realizes that her elegant beauty is unnatural. Although her features are considered attractive, much of it stems from her spiritual power, which enchants women because of the curse on her mole.
