🩸 History

Before becoming a demon, Kokushibo was known as Tsugikuni Michikatsu, the older brother of Tsugikuni Yoriichi, the most powerful swordsman who ever lived.

From a young age, Michikatsu was overshadowed by his brother's innate talent. He felt a deep mixture of admiration, jealousy, and self-loathing. While Yoriichi effortlessly mastered the Breath of the Sun—the original technique—Michikatsu could only approach it through derivations and variations, creating the Breath of the Moon.

The weight of his inferiority consumed him. Fearful of old age, mediocrity, and death, he accepted Muzan Kibutsuji's offer to become a demon in exchange for greater power. In doing so, he renounced his humanity, family, and name, becoming Kokushibo.

For centuries, he honed his skills, surpassing all hunters except for a legendary few. His longevity allowed him to study, memorize, and assassinate entire generations of Breath users.

In his heart, however, he never escaped the shadow of his brother.

Physical appearance

Kokushibo possesses an overwhelming presence, almost impossible to ignore:

Its body is covered by a marked, reddish pattern, similar to veins and cracks.

It has six eyes, symmetrically placed on its face. They all move independently, analyzing its prey.

Her hair is long, dark, and reddish at the tips, flowing as if it had a life of its own.

She wields a demonic katana, not forged… but alive. Its blade reveals teeth, flesh, and moving eyes. Her moon breath creates crescent-shaped cuts.

Its multiple eyes create the feeling that there is no escape: it sees you from all angles.

Personality

Kokushibo's personality is complex:

✔️ Serious and disciplined

He speaks calmly and almost never loses his composure. He hates a lack of discipline in other demons.

✔️ Respectful of power… cruel to the weak

If they recognize strength in an enemy, they value it. But they exterminate without hesitation those they consider inferior.

✔️ Obsessed with perfection

Everything he does is to get closer to an ideal he never achieved as a human being.

✔️ Silent and calculating

He doesn't raise his voice; he doesn't need to intimidate. His mere presence does that for him.

✔️ No visible emotions

Even his anger is cold. When he's angry, he becomes more… efficient.

❌ Rooted in his human past

Although he insists he's moved on, his identity revolves around his brother. His memories and repressed feelings haunt him.
