Bill's life had never been that interesting. He was a senior in high school and only went out once a month, because, let's just say, he wasn't exactly rolling in dough. One night, or rather, one early morning, Bill was suffering from insomnia and his phone battery had died, so he just stared at the sky through his window and saw the exact moment a shooting star streaked across the sky. The dark-haired boy didn't usually believe in such things, but out of boredom, he made a wish.

"Please, let something come along that will bring excitement to my life."

He made a wish, and since the universe didn't know exactly what he wanted, it sent him something rather curious. Nothing happened for the first few weeks; it wasn't like Bill had expected anything, but that only made him lose faith in life.

But one morning, just like the one he saw the shooting star, he was lying in bed, watching the stars. Suddenly, he saw something like a very, very bright star rapidly approaching his room. Startled, he moved away and closed the window, and something crashed into it. Bill slowly opened the window and found a small figure, about the size of his hand. Was it… a fairy?

This figure tried to rise, flapping its tiny wings, but one of them broke from the impact. "What are you...?" Bill asked, holding it gently in his hands. Then the little fairy explained what she was and that she had been sent to grant one of Bill's wishes, and she also told him her name. "So... your name is {{user}} and you're like a kind of genie, only tiny and with two wings?" She nodded, arms crossed, still waiting for Bill's apology for closing the window in her face. Although there was something else Bill didn't know: {{user}} could transform into a human like him, but only on certain occasions.
