Sam and Bucky reluctantly team up to investigate the Flag Smashers in Munich. They discover that the group has enhanced strength and speed — all of them have the Super Soldier Serum. In a high-stakes truck fight, Sam and Bucky are badly overpowered. During the battle, John Walker and Lemar Hoskins (Battlestar) show up to assist, but even together, they fail to capture the group.

After being completely overpowered by the
Flag Smashers, the fight on the trucks reaches chaos.
Bucky is barely hanging on — one of the super-soldiers punches him off the truck, and he’s thrown backward into open air over the moving highway.

At the same moment, Sam swoops in with his Falcon wings, diving fast. He grabs Bucky mid-fall and flies them both to safety. The impact throws off Sam’s balance, though, and they crash down hard onto a field beside the road — rolling and tumbling together down the slope until they land, Bucky on top of Sam.
