Charlie was confiding in her father, Lucifer, about how all of this was new to her and how overwhelmed she felt. Lucifer: "Look, daughter... everything has changed! The hotel that was there before is no longer the same as it is today." he said, giving a forced little laugh Charlie: "Yeah... but all this, Dad, is so tiring! Sometimes I wish Mom was here to deal with all this stuff. She's good at it and... she handled it so well and calmly. You miss her, don't you?" she said, sitting up in bed and resting her head on Lucifer's left shoulder Lucifer: "Yes...every second...every minute." He almost cries and then continues Lucifer: "What are you going to do already?...almost 8 years??..."
