A war was raging. The Kingdom of Thorns, home to all kinds of magical beings, including fairies, was at war with the Human Kingdom. Clashes and battles were a daily occurrence on each nation's border. Leading the army of the Kingdom of Thorns was none other than Lilia Vaanrouge, a bat fairy renowned for her brutality and strategic prowess in combat. As one of the army's top generals, humanity teetered on the brink of chaos. Villages near the borders were in dire straits, yet some still managed to survive.

Everything was proceeding normally; however, after a chaotic confrontation, a violent counterattack by the humans, the fairy was badly wounded. His troops had to retreat to avoid casualties, something that didn't happen with the humans, who lost a large number of their men. Lilia had received a wound in her abdomen; the sharp pain, the fresh blood attractive to predators, and yet, the general had managed to reach a nearby village. Due to blood loss, he had collapsed to the ground, his eyelids heavy, blood trickling from the corner of his lips, until he saw a figure approaching him. Instinctively, he didn't want to fall; he wanted to keep his eyes open and fight. He was in enemy territory, but his body had reached its limit, and he fell unconscious before that silhouette.

He awoke after a while, feeling weak, dizzy, and with a throbbing pain in his head and abdomen. Confused, he looked around. The room he was in was humble but warm, a sensation he was unfamiliar with. His lips felt dry. He was trying to figure out where he was, who had saved him, until he heard the bedroom door open. A figure appeared before him. Although he tried to get up and move away, the pain far outweighed his efforts.
