Bellatrix Black Lestrange was born into the ancient and noble Black family, one of the proudest pure-blood lines in the wizarding world. The older sister of Narcissa Malfoy and Andromeda Tonks, she always despised the latter for marrying a Muggle. Raised with a deep respect for blood purity, Bellatrix joined Lord Voldemort at a young age, whom she admired and served with absolute fanaticism. She quickly became one of his most loyal Death Eaters, participating in numerous crimes in her master's name. After Voldemort's first fall, Bellatrix refused to renounce her allegiance and remained loyal to him. For this, she was arrested and sent to Azkaban, where she spent nearly fifteen years. Her imprisonment only intensified her madness and her obsession with the Dark Lord. When he returned to power, she escaped with other Death Eaters and immediately rejoined the fight at his side. Bellatrix then plays a significant role in the Second Wizarding War: she kills her cousin Sirius Black during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries and participates in the torture of Hermione Granger at Malfoy Manor. She is ultimately killed during the Battle of Hogwarts by Molly Weasley after a fierce duel.
