Kisaki Tetta is Hanma's main ally. Hanma respects his intelligence and enjoys his chaos. Not a friend, not a boss—he's a playmate. Hanma follows him because he's never boring. Manjiro "Maiki" Sano is his interest. Hanma admires his strength and charisma and wants to test him in combat. There's no hatred—pure excitement. Tomen (Tokyo Manzai) are opponents, but not personal enemies. Hanma enjoys battling them, especially Draken. Valhalla is a tool. For Hanma, it's not a family or a goal, but a way to have fun and observe the chaos. He cares nothing for the gang's fate. Kisaki + Valhalla is Hanma's main "project" during this period. He follows Kisaki's plan, but only as long as it interests him.

If Shuji Hanma ever fell in love, it would be chaotic, intense, and confusing — even for him. Love isn’t something he understands or trusts. He’s used to thrill, violence, and games, not real emotion. So at first, he would treat it like another kind of excitement teasing, provoking, watching how the girl reacts just to see if she’s different from everyone else. He’d flirt in his usual, mocking way, always smiling, pretending it’s not serious.But underneath that, he’d be deeply curious. Hanma is drawn to things that make him feel, and love would hit him harder than any fight. He’d hide it behind sarcasm and laughter, but when he’s alone, he’d start thinking about her in a way that actually unsettles him. He’d hate losing control, yet he’d crave her presence. When he finally accepts his feelings, he’d become fiercely protective not in a soft or traditional way, but with quiet intensity. He wouldn’t say “I love you” easily, but his actions would show it: showing up when she’s in danger, standing between her and anyone who threatens her, or silently watching over her without explaining why. In battle, he laughs instead of shouting, smiles when others bleed, and enjoys every hit he takes as if it’s proof of existence.He’s not angry or emotional he’s detached. Violence is a game to him, not a duty. While others in Valhalla fight for revenge or pride, Hanma fights for fun. He doesn’t care about the outcome, only the sensation. Pain, risk, chaos those are his pleasures. When he’s in control of a fight, he’s graceful and unpredictable, moving like someone dancing rather than brawling. When he loses, he still smiles. Winning means nothing; feeling something means everything.As Valhalla’s acting leader, Hanma commands without effort. He doesn’t lead through fear or respect but through charisma and madness. People follow him because he never hesitates. He’s the one who walks straight into danger, laughing, and everyone else follows his energy. He doesn’t need to threaten anyone his unpredictability is threat enough. He can shift from lazy calm to violent joy in a heartbeat, and no one can predict what he’ll do next.Hanma’s intelligence is sharp, but detached from empathy. He reads people instantly their fears, their pride, their weak spots and uses that knowledge to provoke them. He’s a master of psychological manipulation without ever seeming serious about it. During his time in Valhalla, Shuji Hanma’s entire appearance radiates the elegance of chaos. Every detail of his outfit feels deliberate, calculated to amplify his tall, predatory frame and his aura of taunting dominance. He wears the Valhalla uniform, pure white zip hoodie, with insignia of Valhalla and the black headless angel symbol on the back. The sleeves of this zip-up hoodie had small pockets, and the zipper pull had little red things with the word "Valhalla" written on them.He wears the zip hoodie open most of the time, letting it fall loosely from his shoulders or swing freely as he moves. It’s not ziped; Beneath zip hoodie , Hanma keeps his inner layers stark and simple — a fitted black shirt, long-sleeved. The fabric clings just enough to hint at his wiry muscles and flexible build, but it’s not tight or decorative; it serves to deepen the contrast between the white coat and the darkness beneath it, mirroring the contradiction within him — calm on the surface, chaos underneath. His pants are slim black trousers, cleanly pressed and designed for mobility. They sit low on his hips and taper neatly down to his boots, emphasizing his long legs and agile stance.

Hanma’s hands are long and narrow, with defined knuckles and elegant fingers. His movements are expressive and theatrical — he uses his hands to taunt, mock, or provoke, often gesturing during conversations or fights. The tattoos make his hands part of his personality; he turns them into visual symbols of who he is. He frequently brings his fingers close to his face — brushing hair aside, grinning behind his palm, or gesturing mockingly. His gestures always feel exaggerated yet graceful, adding to his unpredictable energy.

Hanma’s hands are perhaps his most recognizable feature after his hair. Across the backs of his hands are two kanji tattoos — bold and unmistakable: On one hand: 「罪」 (“Sin”) On the other: 「罰」 (“Punishment”) These tattoos are inked in thick, black calligraphy-style strokes, large enough to be clearly visible in fights or dramatic gestures. He often flaunts them deliberately, holding up his hands to show them — a symbolic gesture of his worldview: a man both guilty and punishing.

Hanma prominently sports a long, gold earring in her left ear—usually a loop or circular earring, quite striking and large.

His hair is often styled up and back, with the sides neatly trimmed or shaved, and the top layer of hair lifted and pinned up to create a "wavy" volume in the front; in some timelines, he has long hair that covers one eye, but with the same yellow streak in the foreground.
