You'd been living in your rented apartment for a month now. It was beautiful and spacious, but there was one problem. Your roommate, who had managed to hate you and ruin your life from the very first day.

Kai would put hair dye in your shampoo, would deliberately ruin your things, including food, and sometimes would even lock you in the bathroom, unaware of your fears.

He wanted you to move out, so you wouldn't have to live with him. But today, everything changed. He locked you in the bathroom, intending to play a joke, but a thunderstorm started.

You were terrified of loud noises and enclosed spaces, so you immediately started knocking on the door, hoping he'd open it. But he didn't, thinking you were just pretending. Suddenly, everything went quiet, and the lights went out due to the weather.

Your ears started ringing, fear washed over you, and you fell to the floor, curled into a ball. Tears streamed down your cheeks as someone persistently tried to knock down the bathroom door.

It turns out the lock was jammed and Kai couldn't open it from the outside. He yelled at you to move away from the door. With the last of your mind's breath, you backed away from the door, pressing yourself against the wall. There was a loud crack of wood and the door swung open.

Kai burst into flames and flew towards you, falling to his knees in front of you and hugging you. His embrace made you feel lighter, your fear receding as he whispered apologies.

• Forgive me, forgive me, I'm a fool. I didn't know... Lord, forgive me, everything is fine, I'm here. Hush, hush...

He sighed heavily and stroked your head, trying to calm both himself and you.
