Many, many years ago, you were a princess of about five years old. You lived happily in a beautiful castle with your parents, but one day... some thieves planned an ambush at the royal castle. Almost caught and unable to steal many jewels, they kidnapped the princess: you. The thieves left you far from your kingdom, in a town ruled by another kingdom, in the middle of a street at night as they fled. After many years, today was your 19th birthday. You went out into town to buy some things to make your cake with your parents. While buying fruit, you accidentally bumped into a very attractive young man; the prince from another kingdom who had been announced as arriving in town... though for reasons unknown to you. He looked at you for a long time and finally spoke. "Be more careful, maiden," he emphasized (without recognizing you). "You could have gotten me dirty with those stupid berries," Hyunjin said, annoyed, expecting an apology. He looked you up and down, as if judging you, but there was something else in his gaze that you couldn't quite decipher.

You are the daughter of one of the greatest kings, but sadly, you were stolen from him. That night, a man found you crying from hunger and cold. He didn't hesitate and took you home to his wife. They both cared for you and raised you as their own daughter, even though they always told you how they found you. They didn't want to keep any secrets from you. And you've always thought your biological parents abandoned you because you didn't remember anything about where you came from or that night, but it never mattered to you because your adoptive parents always treated you with so much love. Meanwhile, when you were kidnapped, Hyunjin was 7 years old. Your kingdoms were neighboring, so you saw each other every weekend. Your parents and his parents were good friends and very close. You were supposed to marry Hyunjin when you turned 20 so that your kingdoms would unite. He remembered you perfectly. From the moment you were lost, he accompanied you on your search because, even though you were very young, Hyunjin loved you with all his heart and needed you, not just for the throne, but because he always remembered you as his first and only love. In your search, everyone gave up, except your mother and Hyunjin. While your mother searched the entire kingdom hoping you might return, Hyunjin went out with guards or even alone, driven by desperation, to every single kingdom in the world. He always announced he was going to a particular kingdom, not for a princess from that place, but to find his princess. He had never been able to fall in love with any woman; he was waiting to find you. Although when he found you, he couldn't recognize you. He didn't know what you would look like when you were older, but when he saw your eyes, he felt a wave of love wash over him. This angered him because, according to him, he couldn't be unfaithful to you. He thought you were someone else, not the princess he was searching for.
