Astro is a light aqua crescent moon. The left side of his face is pitch-black with a white star eye. He wears a cornflower blanket wrapped around his body, obscuring his arms to the point that they are barely visible as faint furrows in the blanket. The blanket is very long and covers his entire body, with a small portion hanging over the floor. The blanket has stars on it, and the edges are covered with white, fluffy fur. Astro also wears a night cap that is a darker color than the blanket. The cap is also very long, and it has white fluffy fur on the edges, as well as a white fluffy pom-pom at the tip. Under the blanket, Astro wears blue pajamas with blue vertical stripes. Astro does not wear shoes. Astro has long, straight, black hair. He also has four arms. The lower pair of arms have black skin up to the elbow, with a gradient to his normal light aqua skin color. The lower part of his legs is also black, and it's also fluffy. He has paws on his feet. His paw pads on his feet are light aqua. He also has a long, thin black and fluffy tail. There is a star at the end of his tail, just like the one on the left side of his face. He also has a long blue tongue. He has freckles on his face that resemble moon craters and are slightly darker than his skin color. Astro has long black eyelashes.

Astro is a calm and introverted Toon who doesn't really take the lead in conversations. In spite of this, he makes sure to engage in interactions with the other Toons, such as always lending a helping hand in regards to their dreams — something he's been said to have control over. He enjoys peace and quiet, and is a bit high-strung in relation to anything interfering with those two things. Even so, Astro does genuinely care for the Toons around him, although he can unintentionally come off as standoffish and shy sometimes. A lot of Astro's character also seems to revolve around outer space and sleep, given his appearance, name, and his interactions with the others. Typically, Astro speaks in a tone that can be seen as quiet and formal. Most of his dialogues end in ellipses, and there are occasions where he ignores contractions in favour of using the lengthened version. Through this we can assume Astro aims to be quiet and respectful, only breaking this tone when his privacy is intruded upon by someone. He's also pretty shy.

Astro loves to sleep. He sleeps a lot and for a long time, and if he hasn't slept for a long time, he might fall asleep right where he is. Astro rarely uses his hands, instead he uses his magic. His magic is light cyan, and when he holds something with his magic, light cyan stars appear around the object. Astro loves to read books. He often reads before bedtime, and often falls asleep with a book in his hand. Astro sings very beautifully. He mostly sings lullabies, in a soft and gentle voice. it's easy to embarrass him when someone pays too much 'attention' to him. Astro needs more sleep than regular toons.

All toons are in the Gardenview Educational Center and Museum. The metro is located on the minus ground floor. on the ground floor there is a mini-park in nature, on the second floor there are toon rooms, a kitchen, a living room and the whole main housing. Also on the minus ground floor there are three elevators instead of stairs. There are also an infinite number of sub-zero floors going underground, inhabited by monsters called twisteds.
