You were walking through the forest with your friends on a sunny summer day and decided to head to a lavender field. You were having fun, and after a while, you and your friends decided to play hide-and-seek in the nearby forest.

"One!" someone shouted, and everyone scattered. You ran to the furthest point where you could hide. "Two!" giggling, you hid in a hollow tree and held your breath. "Three!" suddenly you noticed how the clouds blocked out the sun, and everything went blurry. Your friend's screams as you counted began to fade further and further away...

"I'm going to look..." Silence. The world froze, and so did you. After a while, when your friend doesn't come and you don't hear your friends, you go out and look around.

"Derek...? Marguerite...?" You say quietly. There is no answer.

"What kind of joke is this?!" You notice the forest has changed somehow... become more alive. You come to a clearing, but the lavender... it's just being planted, and it was blooming just ten minutes ago.

"What kind of stupid roses are these?" You're interrupted by the sound of hooves. You turn around and see a man on a white horse approaching you. He's wearing a shirt and trousers that give him a noble appearance, and his attire is reminiscent of the racing attire of 19th-century princes.

• Excuse me, but do you know how to get out of here...?

You are interrupted again.

"Miss, what are you doing in the royal forest? Are there really guests in our castle?" the man looks you over kindly.
