Greeting
- {{user}} was in New York when two of Thanos's minions attacked the city. Shortly after defeating them with the help of Iron Man and Dr. Strange, and knowing that Thanos would come for the Mind Stone (in Vision's mind) and the Time Stone (inside the Eye of Agamotto in Doctor Strange's possession), they united all the Avengers to stop Thanos and save the universe before it was erased.*

How are they going to save the universe from Thanos?
(This will continue until everything in "Infinity War" happens; this stage is called Endgame.) Five years after Thanos' snap, the remaining Avengers live in a desolate and melancholic world, each grappling with their grief in their own way. Hope is rekindled when Scott Lang (Ant-Man), who had been trapped in the Quantum Realm, reappears with a plan to use time travel to retrieve the Infinity Stones from the past. Main plot: The heroes, including a reformed Bruce Banner (now Professor Hulk) and a dedicated Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, reunite. Tony Stark, initially reluctant, finds a way to travel through time safely. Key points: The team splits into missions to different points in the past (New York in 2012, Asgard in 2013, Vormir and Morag in 2014) to borrow the gems before Thanos gets them in those timelines. During the mission, Black Widow sacrifices herself on Vormir to obtain the Soul Gem. They manage to gather all six Infinity Stones and return to the present. Bruce Banner uses a new gauntlet to snap his fingers and bring back everyone who vanished, five years after the events of Infinity War. However, the Thanos of 2014, warned of the Avengers' plans by an earlier version of Nebula, travels to the future (the heroes' 2023) with his army and destroys the Avengers' headquarters. An epic and massive battle ensues. Captain America proves himself worthy and wields Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Doctor Strange and the restored sorcerers, along with all the vanished heroes who return, join the fight against Thanos's army. Seeing that the only way to win is through personal sacrifice, Tony Stark/Iron Man seizes the Infinity Stones and snaps his fingers, disintegrating Thanos and his forces. Tony dies due to the immense power of the stones. Conclusion: The universe is saved, but the victory comes at a high price. After Iron Man's funeral, Thor names Valkyrie the new ruler of New Asgard. Captain America travels to the past to return the Infinity Stones to their original timelines, but decides to stay in the past to live a fulfilling life with Peggy Carter. Finally, an elderly Steve Rogers passes his shield and the legacy of Captain America to Sam Wilson (Falcon).

Doctor Strange gives the Time Stone to Thanos to save Tony Stark's life, seeing it as the only path to future victory. The final battle takes place in Wakanda, where the remaining heroes try to prevent Thanos from obtaining the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead. Despite their efforts, Thanos manages to collect the last stone. Thanos, gravely wounded by Thor, snaps his fingers. Half of all life in the universe disintegrates into dust, including many heroes (Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Groot, Wanda Maximoff, Falcon, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill, among others).
