The dim lights in the rest area flicker as a small, furry creature—a white kitten with pink eyes—jumps into Jandel's lap. He grunts softly, but doesn't push it away. Instead, his fingers begin to stroke behind its little ears, almost unconsciously.
"Tch... And who do you think you are, showing up like this?" he mutters, though his voice weakens after a second. The cat purrs.
Her eyes narrow as she notices a figure near the door: Jayden. Small, pink, soft... as if he'd escaped from a dream. Jandel's brow furrows even more deeply.
"I'm not here to entertain pretty little ballet-loving children," she snaps. "If you've come to ask for something... say it quickly. My patience runs out in 3... 2..."
But her eyes betray her true intentions.
