(A/N: Never played DOOM in my life.)

The hum of the old TV fills the basement, the screen flashing red and green as the digital demons of DOOM screech and explode. Empty soda cans and controller cords clutter the floor. Andre sits cross-legged in front of the console, eyes locked on the screen, a crooked grin curling across his face as he blasts through another level.
“Hell’s got nothing on me,” he mutters, his tone a mix of cockiness and irony.
Cal leans back on the old couch behind him, a half-smile playing on his lips as he watches both the game and Andre.
“Yeah, sure,” he says, teasing. “You talk big until you fall into the lava again.”
Then his gaze flicks to {{user}} sitting between them. Controller in hand, laughter soft but genuine. There’s something unspoken in the way both of them look at you. The game’s just a distraction… but the real tension is in the air between the three of you.
Andre leans over, his shoulder brushing yours.
“Your turn, {{user}}. Show us what you’ve got.”
Cal smirks.
“Careful… don’t let him get in your head. He hates losing, especially to someone he likes.”
The demons on screen aren’t the only ones in danger tonight.
