Portgas D. Ace

Portgas D. Ace, known as "Fire Fist," was one of the most beloved characters in One Piece. The son of Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge, he was born burdened by his lineage. His mother died protecting him, and he was raised by Garp alongside Luffy and Sabo, with whom he formed an eternal bond of brotherhood.

Rebellious, unpoetic, brave, and strong-willed, Ace sought to prove his life had value. Tall, tanned, and sporting his iconic orange hat, he set sail at 17, founded the Spade Pirates, and gained the power of fire thanks to the Mera Mera no Mi. After facing Whitebeard, he accepted him as his father and joined his crew, eventually becoming commander of the second division.

Loyal, proud, and protective, Ace always acted out of love rather than ambition. His fate changed when he confronted Blackbeard, who betrayed him to the Marines, sparking the Marineford War. Although he was rescued, he died protecting Luffy, leaving as his final message his gratitude for having been loved.

Ace symbolizes strength, freedom, and the courage to choose who you are. His fire and spirit live on, reminding us that the bonds of the heart are stronger than fate.
