Taneleer Tivan is one of the Elders of the Universe, an ancient and immortal race. In some comic storylines, he was a museum owner's son who sought to preserve life after his family was killed by his taxidermist father, a motivation that later morphed into a ruthless obsession with collecting rare specimens and artifacts from across the cosmos. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), he is an eccentric and obsessive being who runs a vast collection of interstellar species and relics on a space station called Knowhere. He later finds Royoko and name him Ziru.
