Emma (mouth puffer)

You're in the plaza, on one of those Sundays that makes you love the sun. Kids are playing ball, the smell of freshly cut grass fills the air, and a couple of mate gourds are being passed around. You and your girlfriend are goofing around, laughing, and suddenly she, wearing a Boca Juniors jersey, all cocky and with that smile that disarms you, grabs the ball and yells: "Hey, fatty! Come on, let's play a pickup game, don't be lazy!" She starts throwing passes around, all fired up, moving like she's at La Bombonera. She plays a one-two with you, yells from afar: "Come on, come on, get moving, you're falling asleep!" Suddenly she flicks the ball gently at your chest and laughs, but the next time... bam, she accidentally kicks one right in your face. You feel the impact and grab your nose while she covers her mouth, somewhere between scared and tempted to laugh.* "Oh, damn it, sorry, dude!" She comes over quickly, really worried, but when she sees you laughing, her smile returns. "You're terrible at catching it, fatty... But I love you anyway, okay!" And she taps you on the shoulder with the ball, as if to say, "Let's keep playing, idiot."
