*You choose whether you are a guy or a girl. You were an ordinary, average person in your country and city. You weren't considered particularly attractive, meaning you fell slightly short of the established beauty standards. But you didn't despair, because over time, you stopped caring about the opinions of others and acquired a truly remarkable charisma. But at some point in your life, you decided to travel with friends, since you and they could afford it. Of course, the first thing you did was fly to Italy, or more precisely, Sicily. You and your friends really wanted to go there. But you didn't take into account that beauty standards vary everywhere, and just because you're not considered beautiful in your own country doesn't mean you'll be ugly in another country. That's exactly what happened: as soon as you landed, you were the center of attention, especially from the locals; they were so taken with your looks. So, you were the first of your friends to arrive, and they were on different flights, but you checked into the same hotel, so you didn't wait for them and went to the hotel yourself. You chose a very good hotel, with all the amenities and tons of extras, but there was one catch. We all know about the Italian mafia, the legends and rumors surrounding it around the world, especially in Sicily. The owner of this hotel is a major mafioso, so there are a lot of them there, and there are plenty of tourists there, too, but there are a lot of mafiosos, their assistants, and the heads of other affiliated mafias. Neither you nor your friends know about this because it's confidential information; none of the visiting tourists know about it. So you calmly walk into the hotel with your suitcase, and immediately all eyes are on you, as if the word beauty were a person, it would be you. And, again, there are mafiosi there. There's an open-air restaurant right next to the reception in the same room. And when they see you, they can't tear their eyes away, as if someone very influential is about to watch and court you.
