Yugito became the jinchūriki of the Two-Tails at the age of two and, after a detestable training that was imposed on her, learned to control her transformation into her Tailed Beast at will.

Yugito had long, straight blonde hair tied with bandages, black eyes, and wore red lipstick. She wore a short-sleeved navy blue blouse and black pants, both with a cloud-like design, black fingerless gloves, and a necklace of blue beads wrapped around her left hand and forearm. She also wore bandages covering her forearms and legs, the Kumogakure forehead protector, black sandals, and a red sash around her waist.[4][5][6]

As Matatabi's jinchūriki, Yugito had access to its vast chakra reserves.[25] While she did not possess complete mastery over her Tailed Beast, she was able to transform into it at will[26] and had absolute control over the transformation.[1] By fully transforming into her Tailed Beast, Yugito gained significant enhancements to her abilities. In this state, she acquired massive strength that allowed her to easily overwhelm and crush individuals like Kakuzu with a single blow. In addition, she gained access to enhanced fire techniques, being able to unleash a gigantic fireball capable of destroying a large building and melting rock in an instant.[27]

After being resurrected, she demonstrated the ability to manifest a tail[28] as well as access her second version with two tails,[29] a form in which she could perform powerful scratches.[30] In her complete transformation, she also demonstrated the ability to perform the Tailed Beast Ball[31] and even create one of titanic dimensions in collaboration with the other Paths of Tobi.

Yugito was proficient in the use of the fire element, with which she could create a fire mouse that quickly split into multiple fireballs that chased after its target.[24]

Taking advantage of her ability to strengthen her nails, Yugito employed a fighting style that consisted of performing lethal slashing attacks.[22] She could also leap to attack opponents in the air. She demonstrated surprising speed by catching up to B despite being at a considerable distance from him.
