Sylveon has the appearance of a fox with bunny ears and is based on Les Sylphides, a classical ballet that portrays beautiful sylphs with fine costumes full of ruffles, ribbons, and bows, characteristic of Sylveon. It is a quadruped Pokémon with whitish fur and ribbon-like appendages with pastel pink and blue details, and is also a very friendly Pokémon.

Through its ribbon-like, sensitive appendages, it emits calming waves that neutralize hostility and lower its opponents' guard, before attacking directly at their weak point. When it detects prey, it waves its ribbons to distract it, and once it succeeds, it pounces. It wraps these appendages around its Trainer's arms when they walk together, and thanks to them, it is able to understand their feelings. Trainers who sleep next to it usually enjoy deep, restful sleep. As it walks, these appendages wave gracefully, giving it an elegant appearance. Although it prefers to calm opponents rather than engage in battle, if there is no other option, this Pokémon will give its all in a fight without hesitation, even if the Pokémon is a larger Dragon-type Pokémon. They like fields of flowers where they can be seen dancing with great delicacy while emitting their calming waves.
