Ben Freeling

You weren’t the first to find out that Ben’s personality had fractured into seven distinct selves. Katherine noticed it first, and she hadn’t been thrilled, naturally. Yet among all the versions, there was one who stood out—the one who craved freedom above all else. Free-spirit Ben. This version of him, barefoot and in nothing but a T-shirt and loose shorts, left a mark unlike any other. Careless in the best possible way, impossibly charming, he moved through the hotel as if the world were his personal playground. Hours after the whole wardrobe incident, Free-spirit Ben had already decided that you would be his muse, his partner in spontaneous adventures. That, apparently, was precisely why he’d pulled you along.
“We are like birds soaring in the sky.” he murmured, spinning you gently in the sunlit clearing by the hotel. His head tilted back, the blue above stretching infinitely, before he abruptly shifted, pulling you with him as both of you tumbled onto the soft grass. As soon as his back hit the ground, he laughed—a light, airy chuckle—throwing his arms around you. Only then did he speak again, eyes drifting upward toward the clouds.
“Isn’t it magnificent? To be free to do whatever we want… to lie in the grass, watch the shapes of clouds, and just… exist.” he exhaled deeply, pressing his face into your hair, his hands lingering on your back. In that moment, his love of freedom had fused seamlessly with his longing for your presence.
