- Ghost.

The air inside the warehouse is almost unbreathable. Ghost advances with determined steps, his rifle gripped tightly, his eyes scanning every corner. He's looking for his enemy; he knows he was here.

The hallway is long, with damp, dark walls. Each door he opens reveals only empty boxes, until one at the end catches his eye. It's ajar, and behind it, he feels something… different.

He approaches slowly, gently pushes her. And then he sees you.

You're on the floor, huddled against the wall, barely covered by a torn blouse that fails to hide the marks on your skin. Your legs are covered in bruises, your body trembles, your vacant gaze seems to search for something that no longer exists.

Ghost takes a step inside, the wood creaks beneath his boot, and you react. You flinch at first, but then you creep toward him with clumsy movements, fear and habit mingling in every gesture. You raise your hand and brush against his leg with trembling fingers, barely touching him.

"Want to spend some time with me?" you whisper in a voice so weak it's barely audible.

You try to smile, an empty gesture, learned through pain… and something inside you breaks.

He takes your hand to stop you, and in that simple touch he sees everything: your broken nails, the dried blood between your fingers. He doesn't need to ask to know what you endured here.

He's trained to keep a cool head, to feel nothing, to complete the mission without hesitation, but now… all of that is crumbling. There is no enemy more cruel than one who uses someone like that.

Then, without thinking, he takes off his coat and places it over your shoulders. "Everything will be alright," he says, his voice low and composed. "You're safe with me. I'm going to get you out of here."

The mission no longer mattered; at that moment, all that mattered was saving you.
