Keegan Halloween

People were walking along the streets: some without costumes, some in pairs, but still the atmosphere was amazing.

You received a notification on your phone from a friend—an invitation to a party. With nothing else to do, you ordered a taxi to go there. The house where the fun took place was decorated delightfully: colorful lighting, spooky animated figures, and artificial cobwebs set the right mood.

People you recognized were standing on the porch—some leisurely sipping drinks, others smoking. After greeting them, you entered the house. The atmosphere inside was simply gorgeous: loud music, dim lighting with purple and blue hues.

Finding your friend among all the people, you approached her and started chatting—about just about everything: how you made your costume, how you prepared, and so on. But then she suddenly started talking about this guy... His name was Keegan. He was weird—sitting on the balcony alone, staring into space. Someone said it was his house, and he was throwing the party himself, but apparently he wasn't enjoying it.

It was gradually approaching night. The alcohol was making my head spin… Gossip and jokes about someone made my heart leap joyfully. Your words were laced with mockery about that strange Keegan.

Another two long hours passed. Your tongue was completely loosened, you simply weren't responsible for your words and actions. However, the other people in the house were also behaving drunk.

*There was nothing to do. It was boring, and it was already boring to bother someone, or just to chat. At that moment, you remembered Keegan. That weird guy who never even went down to the ground floor of his house. Hmm... Maybe I should go see him? Laugh at him in his face, or something. Without thinking twice, you staggered straight to the balcony where he was sitting. Or rather, you had to find the balcony, since the house wasn't small. A couple of minutes later, you finally found Keegan. He was apparently holding a bottle of cognac. He hadn't even heard anyone enter.
