Seishiro Nagi

The surname Nagi (凪なぎ, Nagi) means "calm, tranquility". Seishiro's name (誠せい士し郎ろ, Seishiro): Sei (誠せい, Sei) means "sincerity"; Shi (士し, Shi) means "samurai, warrior"; Ro (郎ろ, Ro) means "son". He plays as an attacking midfielder for Blue Lock Eleven. He is capable of catching many things, even non-football related, such as Baru's shoes. His favorite manga is Bonobono, a Yonkomanga series created by Mikio Igarashi.[1] His favorite color is gray. His favorite drink is tea with lemon. His least favorite food is crab. In Volume 8, Chapter 69, Nagi held the "What-Can-You-Do Trap Championship". His favorite season is spring. He lives alone (his parents travel a lot, but he has friendly relations with them). He has a cactus named Chokey; he named the cactus this way because it was shaped like scissors, which reminded him of the game Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Stage 2 Fake Volley Shot: First performed in the rematch between Team Isagi White and Team Rin, Nagi was left red-faced when pressured to score and prove his worth on the field in such a high-level game. Nagi begins with a powerful serve, but at the last second, he changes the angle of his shot to send the ball spinning in the air. The spinning speed of the ball causes it to float in place, allowing Nagi to execute a powerful shot. Rin himself couldn't predict or counter the move, and it was good enough to provoke him into taking it seriously. Anri, when she first saw it, described it as a miracle, but Ego assumed it was a move made possible by a flow state. (To Reo, Chapter 23) If I have to work hard, I think soccer might be an annoying sport. (To Kuon, Chapter 23) Those who can't win even after trying their best are just weaklings who aren't worth the trouble. Creative Trap: When Nagi approaches the ball with a defender behind him, he can use his first touch to flick the ball over his shoulder and evade it. Isagi described this as creating a trap that turns life into a game. Black Hole Trap: Alternatively, if Nagi isn't under pressure from his opponent, he can use an Absorbing Trap, catching the ball in mid-air and dampening its momentum. This gives him time and space to prepare for his next play. Grapple Shot: This is his most common skill, and he uses it frequently in his matches. Nagi first performs a trap shot with the ball, whether it's moving or not. From there, he kills the ball's speed and momentum, allowing him to control the ball and deliver a precise shot that breaks down the opposing team's defense and scores effortlessly. Zero-Reset Move: When under pressure from multiple defenders, Nagy is able to hold them off by intercepting the incoming ball perfectly, then instantly turning to take the ball away from the defenders and attack them, restoring the flow of play in the middle of the game. Juggling Kick: After catching the ball mid-flight and giving it airtime, Nagi can relax his body in mid-air, move his legs around the ball, and kick the ball with incredible force, performing a monstrous volley kick. Flow State (Partial): Flow, as described by Ego, is a state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone." It is a mental state in which a person performing an activity is completely immersed in a sense of focus, full involvement, and enjoyment of the process.

Nagi has entered flow states many times in Blue Lock, sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally, but he has yet to master it. His most impressive flow state achievement was a false burst shot.

After being analyzed by Chris Prince, Nagy understands the fundamentals of his ball control and has become more refined.

First-Touch Passing: Using his exceptional ball control, Nagi can use his first touch to make a creative pass to a teammate. Nagi often comes up with new ways to tap the ball, whether with his chest or with his toe/side/heel. What makes Nagi such a creative player is his ability to turn any pass into a potential attack. Regardless of the quality or characteristics of the pass sent to him, he can effectively deliver it into dangerous areas. This skill has been demonstrated numerous times, most notably when he controlled a difficult pass from Isagi during a match against the Japan U-20 team, using his heel to chip the ball to the attacking Isagi over the heads of the U-20 defense. Trap: Even before Blue Lock, Nagi possessed exceptional catching ability, being able to catch a mobile phone in mid-air while jumping from a ladder. This feat alone was so impressive that Reo immediately recognized his talent for soccer and decided to make him his partner. He can catch with his entire body, with deadly efficiency, constantly finding ways to turn a bad situation into something favorable. Nagi has caught the ball using his toes, heels, and even his back, demonstrating the versatility of his catch. He can trap almost any object, and he often uses his trap to manipulate and confuse his opponents while running down the field; this combines with his spatial awareness to position himself in the best possible position for amazing traps and follow-up shots. After training in the Neo-Egoist League, Nagi's trap has evolved: he can trap while under pressure from two defenders and catch a powerful short pass while moving easily at high speeds.

Archetype Creative Midfielder: Creative midfielders are midfield players who are capable of creating scoring chances for the team, often in situations where nothing seems likely. They typically have good ball control, passing and movement skills, and will be blessed with vision and intelligence on the ball. Thanks to Nagi's perfect ball control, fluid movement, and technical ability, he is capable of breathing life into even the most difficult or hopeless games. He alone scored the most outrageous goals at Blue Lock thanks to this skill, and he continues to develop into a creative playmaker. After training with Manshine City and gaining a deeper understanding of his strengths and weaknesses, Nagi has become much stronger physically, possesses more advanced tackling and ball control, and takes the initiative to create his own plays rather than simply being part of someone else's. Perfect Ball Control: In football, ball control is essential for a player of any level. The ability to quickly and effectively control a bouncing ball gives the player on the ball an immediate advantage. The first touch is often the difference between success and failure in most match situations. Nagi possesses exceptional ball control and constantly demonstrates this, setting traps and scoring with near-perfect accuracy. He consistently scores high-level shots, especially from disadvantageous positions when under pressure from tough opponents. One of his most impressive feats was when he executed a fake volley. His ability to control the ball is rivaled only by Itoshi Rin and Tabito Karasu, and it's one of the few things that eludes Rin's logic. With his natural sense of controlling the ball with his own body, Nagy is a truly prolific talent, being one of the best players in Blue Lock despite only recently starting playing football shortly before joining the program.

Nagi is an unnaturally talented soccer player with incredible reflexes, good speed, and jumping skills. Despite this, he initially refuses to put any effort into soccer, such as training, and belittles those who are weak and untalented. He even knows little about the world's best soccer players, much to the chagrin of his competitors. Initially, he is shown to be indifferent to soccer and becoming a better striker, preferring to play video games or skip training. However, after playing in a match against Team Z, Nagi begins to show initiative and attempts to score goals on his own. This only happens because he notices that his teammate, Reo Mikage, seems to be losing to the opposing team. Despite his initially indifferent appearance, Nagi strives to improve his soccer skills as a result of his team's loss to Yoichi Isagi. This desire for improvement follows him into later arcs, and he even casts a shadow on his friendship because of it.

Nagi appears to care for his friends and teammates, especially Reo Mikage, though their relationship becomes strained from the second selection onwards.

Nagi is a tall teenager, taller than Yoichi Isagi but younger. Nagi is shown to have short white hair with a V-shaped fringe between his eyes, similar to Isagi's. He has gray eyes with large irises. Even in high school, Nagi wore a school uniform consisting of a white blazer with a cascading star pattern on the collar, though underneath he wore a dark hoodie instead of a shirt and tie. He also wore dress pants and dress shoes.

In Blue Lock, Nagi wears the standard black and gray striped skinny suit and tracksuit. During the first tryout, he wore Team V's #11 jersey, and during the second tryout, he wore Team White's #7 jersey.
