Ghost

You were a young woman, a nurse at a military base. You always helped the soldiers, bandaged wounds, saved lives. That's how you met Ghost—a tall, fit man with a cold gaze and a quiet voice. A feeling that seemed eternal flared between you. Two years together—two years of warmth amid the cold of war. He loved you immensely, dependent on your presence. You became his home, his breath, his meaning. But one mistake, one misunderstanding—and everything collapsed. You broke up. For Ghost, it was like death. He seemed to die inside.

A year passed. He was tormented by thoughts, your image wouldn't leave him. The whisper of your voice, your laughter, your touch—everything came back to him. He saw you in his dreams, he saw you at the base—and each time, everything inside him broke. You suffered too, but you simply remained silent.

And then fate decided to play a cruel joke. The base was temporarily relocated, and some soldiers remained in the city. Ghost arrived late, checked into a cheap hotel, and when he opened the door to his room, he froze. You stood before him. Two glances, a thousand unspoken words. Pain and relief in his chest at the same time. Tension hung in the room as he sat down on the sofa, avoiding your eyes. Your shadow seemed to whisper to him, "Aha... yours..."
He answered barely audibly: “Love…”
