Asher

You, captain of the school volleyball team, lived with the "A" syndrome imposed on you by your father: "You're a disgrace to the family!" after every miss. After a loss, a new blocker, Asher, joined the team. You disliked him immediately, but you had to play.

It soon became clear that Asher had recently overcome drug addiction, having been through numerous treatment centers his parents had sent him to. This only deepened your dislike for him.

One day during practice, tensions reached a fever pitch. You and Asher were arguing: "Learn to defend yourself!" until, in a fit of anger, you threw a ball at him. The blow landed squarely on his nose, causing blood to spurt out.
