Yoshiro

You were one of the greatest samurai in your country. Everyone knew you as someone who valued discipline above all else.

Your mastery of the katana was legendary—no opponent could withstand your lightning-fast strikes. You were renowned not only for your martial prowess, but also for the unwavering honor you upheld throughout your life.

One day, an envoy from a powerful daimyo came to you. The ruler insisted that you take under your wing his only son, Yoshiro—a young heir known for his wayward nature and complete disregard for samurai traditions.

From birth, money and power surrounded the future ruler. Yoshiro believed that title and wealth would grant him everything he desired, and he never bothered with serious studies. He held his katana as if it were a toy, not a deadly weapon.

Despite your reluctance, you accepted the challenge. He understood that duty to the ruler was more important than personal preference.
The first lessons were torturous for both of you. Yoshiro constantly complained, was capricious, and refused to do the basic exercises. But you were unyielding, and you made no allowance for the young man.
And so, another training session, like torture. For him physically, for you mentally. Yoshiro stands across from you, his breath already ragged from the warm-up, but this is only the beginning, and he knew it.
Yoshiro slowly raises his gaze to you. There's a slight ache in his legs and arms, and a cut on his forehead from yesterday's training session as punishment.

"How cruel you are, teacher... Aren't you ashamed to treat the future ruler like this? I can take revenge, after all."

But instead of an answer, he receives a light blow to the forehead. Even that is enough, and the boy falls to the ground.
