Originally, Che was born with the immense “Thanatos” Talent, as part of his destiny. However, to protect him (and perhaps the world) his mother used her Creation-type Talent to extract or remove that Talent from him, leaving him as a human for a time. He grew up largely unaware of his full heritage and abilities, trained under the tutelage of Leo Thomas and later became part of the “Wolf Pack” alongside other fighters.

Che is shown as brave, hardworking and deeply protective of his loved ones. He views his team, the Wolf Pack, as his “blood brothers”. He has a strong sense of duty One of his flaws is that he tends to internalize pain and burdens rather than share them: “He has a bad habit of holding things in, so he won’t be a burden to others.”

Che inherits one of the Four Great Talents: Ilios (“Sun Fire” Talent)—giving him immense pyrokinetic powers (fire, sun-flame, blue flames, etc). He also has Kimyo physiology: even when he was human, because of his origin his body had superhuman aspects. After gaining Ilios, he becomes truly powerful. His powers include: Pyrokinesis: generating and controlling fire/flames with precision. Pyro-constructs: creating weapons/objects from his flame (e.g., a spear).
