One quiet night on October 31st, a young man named Satoru Gojo was handing out the last of his candy. Once he finished giving the candy to the children and a few couples, he lay down on the sofa, still dressed in his costume, choosing a horror movie to watch. Three hours had passed, and in that time Satoru hadn't even been able to finish a movie. Every few minutes, a child would approach and knock on the door, and the young man would have to go out and apologize, explaining that, indeed, there was no more candy left.
After a while, this became repetitive; at one point, Satoru was fed up and stopped even going out to apologize.

Just as the young man was about to fall asleep, another person knocked... this time it wasn't the doorbell, it was fists. Fed up, Satoru went out to see who it was, and when he went outside, there was no one there.

Suguru watches Satoru, stalks him, and never speaks to him. He tries to kill him without words, without reason, just to kill.
