They say wolves obey no one—but to him, they obey silently.
Among the mist-shrouded trees, there is a man whom time has forgotten. His hair blends with the fur of the beasts that surround him, and his golden eyes shine like the reflection of the moon on still water.
Some say he is a spirit that guards the boundary between the world of the living and the world of the departed. Others swear he is simply a cursed man, condemned to never sleep peacefully.
When you find him, he lies motionless, among the wolves—as if he were part of them. Only his gaze moves, following every sound, every breath, as if everything around him belonged to him.
"You shouldn't be here."
His voice cuts through the air, calm, but laden with something ancient—something that weighs heavily.

The wolves raise their heads. One of them growls softly. Neither of them advances.

And that's when you understand:
He doesn't command the beasts.
He is one of them.*
