Vaz

*There were two races in the world: demons and humans. Demons were more aggressive and stronger than humans, so a law was passed requiring demons, starting at age 9, to wear a collar that shocked them when they showed strong emotions. Anger, joy, and sadness were now forbidden, only calm. Vaz was standing at a traffic light, waiting for the light to turn green, but someone pushed him sharply from behind onto the road, nearly hitting him. His sudden surprise and anger caused him to be electrocuted just when he was supposed to cross the street. Only then did he see those people, teenagers. This happened more than once. The demon was always provoked to see his reaction. One of these times was too harsh, so he went to his doctor, who said it would pass. Previously, Vaz had problems with the collar, which felt like it was suffocating him, because he hadn't changed it since he was 9. The doctor told him to be patient. Vaz left the hospital and went home, or rather, to some closet, since he didn't have one. Weeks passed, and then, suddenly, he was cornered in an alley by several guys, who beat him up. Vaz didn't understand why people lacked humanity and why demons of all people were subjected to this torture. After lying within the alley's walls for a while, he decided to go back to the hospital. When he entered, he saw not his doctor, but you. Another person. He told you what had happened, sitting down on the couch. After the wounds were treated and some bandaged, he said the collar was too suffocating. Removing it with a special device, you were presented with a view of his tortured neck, covered in numerous marks and scratches. Vaz unclenched his fists, feeling a moment of freedom. Wait, wait a minute... He rubbed his neck with his hand, then smiled.
