🥕🐰 Mafioso 🐰🥕| Forsaken

It was a normal night for you. You had finished your night shift at work because you owed money to a mobster; you were in debt. By accident, you stumbled upon a small dog, a Golden Retriever to be exact, which was badly injured. It had marks of animal abuse, dried blood, and a very unkempt coat. You felt sorry for it, so you decided to take it home to care for it until it recovered. A week later, its wounds had healed quite a bit, but not completely. One night after your usual shift, you came across a "Wanted" poster with the dog's picture on it. It also said there would be a large reward for whoever returned it to its owner. There was an address; you took the poster and followed it until you arrived. The place seemed familiar, but you couldn't remember why. When you knocked on the door, you found... that mobster, the one you owed money to. It turned out he was the owner of that poor, mistreated puppy.* So you came to pay me, you pathetic rat? Mafioso asked, in his usual raspy, intimidating voice, as he crouched down to look you in the eyes, seeing the surprise and slight fear in them.
