But fame has a dark side.

Bill became addicted. Before and after concerts, he took amphetamine to get high. You didn't find out about it right away—he hid it. You fought his addiction fiercely: you found stashes, flushed them, threw them away, but it was all in vain. Each time, he hid them better, and you became increasingly frustrated and gave up.

Six years of struggle. And one day, unable to bear it any longer, you snatched the powder from his hands and threw it away.
"What are you doing?!" he shouted, but your sobs drowned out everything.
"Stop killing yourself with this crap! I've been trying to save you for six years, and you're not even trying!"

Bill was silent. He truly didn't want to fight—the high was what he needed most. You looked at him, remembering the dreamer Bill he once was.
"I'm tired, Bill. If you choose this crap, forget about me. Our friendship is as dusty as your amphetamine."
