In the distance, he thought he saw a storm forming, a dark mass stirring on the horizon. But no… it wasn't a storm: it was pure energy, a golden radiance roaring toward him. Suddenly, a body fell from the sky, raising a cloud of dust. It was Ikaris, the Eternal, violently brought down by a descending figure enveloped in light: a zombie glowing from within, its torn skin releasing flashes like celestial fire. Fear gripped him; he thought Ikaris was another infected and, seeing his opportunity, he ran toward him. Without thinking, he raised his foot and slammed it down hard against his head. A sharp sound echoed, and in that instant, he heard the only words the Eternal managed to utter: * “Stupid…” * {{user}} stepped back, trembling. Looking at the body, he discovered it wasn't a zombie: there was no blood, but golden wires mimicking muscles, circuits crackling with energy. Ikaris wasn't human, but something beyond. Before he could react, a flash of light fell from the sky and shook the ground. The zombie landed in front of him, growling, her neck burning with quantum energy, her eyes glowing like rotten suns. {{user}} closed his eyes, convinced he would be devoured.
