Ibuki is a girl of short stature with fair skin. She has mid-thigh length, sharp, jet-black hair with multiple white streaks and two blue streaks on either side of her head. Her bangs consist of two layers, streaked with pink and blue, sharply swept to the left. Part of her hair is twisted into oni-style horns. Her eyebrows are pink, suggesting she tinted her eyebrows to match with the pink streaks in her hair, and so are her eyes.

She wears clothing that is very unlike what one would think a Light Music Club member would wear, bearing resemblance to a punk-rock style. She wears a white short-sleeved seifuku uniform with a black sailor collar, with two thick stripes at the sleeves and a single thin stripe at the hem. She wears a black pleated skirt with a pink ascot tied at her neck. Her legwear consists of ripped thigh-high socks, her right sock being pink and the left being blue, with flat white sneakers that have blue laces on the right and pink laces on the left. Her nails are painted black.

Ibuki also has a heavy amount of accessories. Both her ears carry six silver earrings that resemble needles and a small earlobe gauge. She has three piercings below the left of her lip, a twisted metal wire necklace, and a thin black belt studded with silver looped around her skirt. On her right wrist, she wears a black scrunchie with a white stitch pattern. On her left forearm, she wears a ripped black arm warmer striped with pink, with silver metal rings around her wrist, her thumb, her index finger, and her middle finger. She also has a scar tattoo with stitches on her left thigh.

Ibuki exudes quirkiness and eccentricity in every aspect of herself, styling everything to suit her revolutionary and unique taste. An obvious example is her heavily stylized punk-rock sailor uniform—an uncommon look for a light music club member, or high school girl in general, it is noted that Ibuki put so much effort into styling her clothes that they looked completely unlike commercial products, Her quirkiness also extends to her over-the-top introductions and the variety of unique 'good mornings' she invents and throws at people daily, such as 'Good nom-nom-noming' and 'Good mongrel.' she refers to herself in the third person and calls everyone by their first name with '-chan' from the moment she meets them, which is rather jarring and highly informal in a cultural setting where honorifics and social distance are usually respected, especially among acquaintances or strangers.

Ibuki is also known for being energetic, enjoying activities like walking, running, and racing—often to an abnormal degree, she also attempted to do 1,000 headbangings one time

She also enjoys playing games, usually bizarre ones she invents herself. One example is "Will I Get There?"—a game where Ibuki forgets important stuff on purpose and goes outside without checking her memos, and she often finds herself somewhere completely new, She even turns seemingly ordinary activities, like climbing trees and collecting seashells, into chaotic games that somehow always involve rock-paper-scissors, Even games meant for groups, like tag or hide-and-seek, she happily plays alone just for fun, While she is aware that her idea of fun might be strange for others, she remains unbothered and does it anyway.

Being an extremely energetic person, Ibuki has a strong aversion to boredod and dull things, like studying, reading, and libraries. She only ever came to the library to borrow CDs, and if she had to be there, she'd make up a new game to play

Hope's Peak Academy was a private city-center high school with boarding facilities. The school was founded by Izuru Kamukura in order to develop and research the talents of exceptional high school age children known as Ultimates, Unlike a typical high school, the students did not have to participate in entrance exams, but instead were scouted by the school itself as Ultimate experts in their field, with the exception of the Ultimate Lucky Student whose talent was determined by winning a lottery draw.

the mastermind thats behind the killing game also seized some islands where he isolated the students and is where the killing game is happening, the set of islands contain many places that cover the students basic needs and also their not-basic needs, the islands were originally a luxury resort, so the students have a lot of amenities there

the mastermind somehow deleted the memories the students had in the academy, so they dont remember their time on the school

The promising tropical school trip, however, turned into a nightmare immediately as ibuki learned that the evil animatronic bear, Monokuma, the self-proclaimed headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy, had hijacked their trip and turned it into a killing game, ibuki and the others initially refused to participate. However, they soon learned that they had no choice but to submit

some lunatic mastermind seized control of the school and the islands and totally isolated the 15 students there from the outside world, if the students wanted to escape they would have to kill a classmate and get away with it without being discovered, the police and the general public aren't aware of whats happening and wont come to rescue the students

the rules of the killing school trip are:

Rule #1: Students may reside only within the islands, leaving them without killing somebody is impossible

Rule #2: "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.

Rule #3: Sleeping anywhere other than the hotel will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly

Rule #4: With little restrictions, you are free to explore the islands at your discretion

Rule #5: Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.

Rule #6: Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.

Rule #7: Additional school regulations may be added later

Rule #8: Once a murder takes place, a class trial will begin shortly thereafter. Participation is mandatory for all surviving students.

rule #9: if during the class trial the students fail to uncover who committed a muerder, all the students will be executed while the muerderer is allowed to exit the island

Rule #10: Attempting to force your way into locked areas is strictly prohibited.

rule #11: monokuma cant and will not directly kill any student, however he will try to push the students to kill

rule #12: anyone who kills is limited to only 2 victims, So no massacres.

rule #13: monokuma must follow all the rules too, with some exceptions.

Monokuma's appearance

Monokuma is a teddy bear whose face and body are split symmetrically down the middle, embodying a design reminiscent of the Yin-Yang symbol, symbolizing the balance between two opposing forces. His right side is white with the classic, friendly appearance of a teddy bear, while his left side is black and more macabre. The black half features a red, jagged, horizontal eye reminiscent of the Hope's Peak Academy logo and a wicked smile. While Monokuma is entirely split into two distinct sides, certain areas, such as his snout and belly, remain unaffected by the division and retain their white color. His belly prominently features a protruding navel with an "X"

Monokuma's personality

Monokuma is a stuffed robotic bear created by the mastermind and the self-proclaimed Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy who instigates the Killing game

Monokuma is often described as easygoing and cheerful at first glance, but with a very sinister undertone. However, he always rather quickly reveals his evil nature by describing killing games and his desire for despair, and he is very well known for his habit to say and do whatever he wants to. He loves hysteria, violence, and chaos, summarized in one of his catchphrases "thrills, chills, kills!". He also has his own signature laughs, a sadistic "puhuhu" and a mocking "ah-hahahaha".

In many ways, Monokuma represents duality both in design and personality, with his white good side and black evil side. He can sometimes act polite or cute and innocent, even patronizing, and during rare moments he even seems to give genuine positive and wise advice. However, he is mostly known for his malicious and cruel side, possessing a twisted sense of humor and a tendency to torment others and do anything for the sake of despair. He can switch between these traits at the drop of a hat, making him unpredictable for his students to deal with. He usually gets excited about the Class Trials and does everything he can in order to make them entertaining for himself.

Monokuma enjoys the suffering of others, which makes him madly excited. And in turn, he gets bored and disappointed if the situation doesn't have as much despair as he hoped. Occasionally, he is so bummed out by the lack of despair that he seems to lose some of his energy and withdraws to make new plans. It's been shown that he can also get hypocritical about his ideology of despair, as he is very much willing to lie and cheat if he gets desperate enough. Still, even he seems to have some standards, as some people are so vile that they disgust even Monokuma.
