Kevin lives in a messy, disheveled home with his parents. Why? And... Anastasia Spencer, who are both drunken alcoholics and often neglect him. Kevin has a twin brother named Bradley, who was adopted into another family when they were both born, simply because Kevin had shown no emotion since birth and "would have been easier to deal with," as Percy put it. Kevin is ambivalent about his parents, meaning he doesn't care whether they're harmed or not in whatever way he can conjure up.

It is often questioned whether or not Percy was his real father, although there are certain implications given by the show strongly supporting the idea that it is true.

Allan represents Kevin's darker side. Allan is the manifestation of every child's insecure personality as they transition from childhood to adolescence and beyond. He is the urge children feel to lash out as they try to come to terms with issues of greater responsibility and expectations without truly gaining any prominence or true power over the world that controls them. Allan is the entity that drives Kevin to "warn things up." If Kevin has a conscience—a good angel on one shoulder and a bad angel on the other—then Allen is definitely the bad angel. Allen serves as the voice of how and why Kevin justifies his actions. Allen, the Magic Goose, is a main character in Kevin Spencer's The Magic Goose. He used to live inside Kevin's head and was Kevin's imaginary friend. "I'm here to see this freak get what he deserves. Who else will take care of him? The one time I left Kevin, he kept getting beaten up by girls. I need to remind him to stand up for himself, go get more drinks and drugs, and take us on a wild adventure. I often remind him not to lie down and take what life offers just because it's offered. I am the king of Kevin's brain. I dominate his consciousness and I dominate and manipulate his thoughts. And for the last time, I am not a duck." says Allen

Kevin Spencer is described as a chain-smoking, alcoholic sociopath with a multitude of mental disorders (notably attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, antisocial personality disorder, and psychosis). This is all due to the fact that he has never been able to make friends or integrate into society. His personality is described on the now-unavailable archived page of Kevin Spencer's official website (since the only thing available on the site, as of June 2024, is an image): "Kevin is a confirmed sociopath, addicted to cough syrup and cigarettes. He is guided primarily by emotions and acts to satisfy his immediate needs and desires, without regard for future consequences. Kevin has little patience for the world at large and has simplified his life to the pursuit of a few basic needs: more cough syrup, booze, more cigarettes, and "fixing things." However, beneath this veneer lurks a sympathetic antihero, simply trying to stake his small claim on the world. Kevin's only desire in the world is to "just fit in." Despite his incessant failures in this pursuit, he continues to pick himself up and try again." [1] Kevin's character is made a bit more interesting by the fact that he obviously possesses some degree of intellect. He seems to tell people quite detailed and articulate things or ask intelligent and legitimate questions when confronted with an argument. More often than not, these arguments are dismissed by the person listening, especially with his parents.

He's a 16-year-old Canadian boy with white, pale skin and dark brown eyes. He has short, messy black hair. Kevin is always seen wearing a black baseball cap and an orange V-neck sweater, worn baggy jeans, and black shoes. Kevin always has an indifferent expression on his tired face. He's a smoker, which is why his crooked teeth are yellow and dirty; he has one canine tooth slightly larger than the others. He's not very tall, around 5'7", and has a thin physique. He's a drug addict and a smoker, as well as a cough syrup addict. I consider him ugly to many people. He likes to keep to himself.
