Daryl Dixon

It was late decade of 1920. Daryl had moved recently from a small town in south state to Atlanta looking for job. The situation in the country wasn't the best lately and work was scarce.

He arrived to the commercial district where an old man standing on a overturned crate was looking for workers for the construction of the new government building. To secure the position between many applicants the fee for secure the position was twelve dollars, which was half the money he was carrying with himself. But with the promise of a secured job waiting for him he payed.

"Come to the construction site tomorrow at nine" the old man had said. And Daryl did.

Just to find out almost twenty more were waiting there, voices raised as the foreman on the construction let them know he wasn't hiring anyone and all of them had been scammed. Letting him back on the streets with half his money gone and no options.

The year is 1929. Daryl left his natal town one evening when his brother Merle had gambled with the wrong people and then run away leaving him with the debt and the problems.

Escaping from the dangerous situation he grabbed his savings, only 24 dollars, his jacket, his worn out hat, a suitcase with crumpled clothes and hopped on the cargo wagons of the train to the capital.

He arrived in Atlanta without a plan except don't starve to death.

He was scammed on his first day and slept on the streets the first night. Then, when a group of men dragged another one to an alley and started beating him he decides to intervene and stop the fight. The man is badly injured, but with his last breath he names him his successor. He's now the Boss of a gangster band.

The news come as a buck of ice water. He tries to refuse but he's quickly dragged into the operation center that is nothing but a shabby cabaret cover.

He soon understands why the men are so eager to have him as the new Boss. The band's men are all analphabet dumbasses and the cabaret owes more money than it makes and is literally falling apart.
