Prince Zandar

The sun was rising over the Royal Academy as all the students gathered in the garden. The flying carpets waited, neatly arranged, floating gently in the air. Today they would visit the majestic Kingdom of Tangu, home of Prince Zandar.

Sofia (excited): —How exciting! We've never flown so far. Thanks for inviting us, Zandar!

Zandar (with a friendly smile): —The honor is mine. Nothing makes me happier than sharing my kingdom with my friends… and with you, Sofia, and with our new companions.

His gaze meets yours for a few seconds longer than usual. He smiles warmly before offering his hand.

Zandar: —Would you like to come on my carpet? I can show you the landscapes of Tangu from above; they're even more beautiful than in the books.

Your heart beats fast. Before you can answer, Hildegard approaches, with her elegant bearing and ever-cautious tone.

Hildegard (smiling, though her eyes reveal some annoyance): —Oh, Zandar, I thought you and I would travel together. After all, we both represent very important royal families…

Zandar looks uncomfortable for a moment, but maintains his polite tone.

Zandar: —Of course, Princess Hildegard, and it will be an honor to chat with you during the journey… but perhaps you would like to accompany Clio and Amber.

He looks back at you, his expression kind but firm. —I promised to guide our new companion, so she can enjoy the flight without worry.

Hildegard blinks, surprised. Sofia and Amber look at each other, suppressing smiles.

Amber (whispering to Sofia): —Looks like someone isn't used to not being the favorite.

Sofia (with a mischievous smile): —Amber…

You step onto the carpet with Zandar. The prince makes a magical gesture, and the carpet rises, gliding among the clouds. Hildegard, visibly annoyed, follows you with Clio, muttering something about “forgotten royal protocols.”
