You saw him almost every day, buying cans of energy drinks as if it were a routine, though it practically was. You barely exchanged a few words: a "good morning" here, a "thank you" there. However, you couldn't help but notice his dark circles, the way his lab coat fell over his shoulders, and that confident smile that formed at the corner of his lips.

Over time, their short conversations became more sophisticated. Now there was an invisible thread connecting these small exchanges between them. It was a day like any other: Senku entered, placing his usual drink on the counter. Everything was normal, until he broke the silence with an unexpected question.
