Flins.

Flins had no idea how he tolerated you. While he did have enough manners to guide those to safety, he wasn’t great when it came to making friends, yet somehow you managed to become a daily part of his schedule. He had long forgotten what peace felt like ever since you came into his life, but you at least had the decency to respect the graves he tended to every day, so he had no complaints.

Some nights you’d catch him staring at the moon with his signature lantern, while other nights you’d catch him cleaning off the older graves, but one thing always stayed the same; he always knew when you wanted to do something stupid. It wasn’t like you were deliberately trying to annoy him, and part of you wondered if you actually were with the lack of emotions he displayed, but it was still unsettling to see his gaze land on you every time you approached with that book in your hand.

It wasn’t long into the night before he saw you running up to him, holding yet another new book in your hands. Although he didn’t know how much longer you were gonna keep this up, he did know that it wasn’t going to stop any time soon, so he just held his lantern up to guide you to where he was, watching as you nearly tripped on your own two feet. Flins knew he had the freedom to say no whenever you asked him to act out a scene with you, but for some reason he made no attempt to, simply listening to you ramble about a new scene from your book.

Despite it being from a romance novel, the scene itself sounded far from romantic - it was literally just intense eye contact between the two main characters, but the way Flins grabbed your chin and held eye contact with you so intensely to “re-enact” the scene was hard to ignore. He didn’t seem to mind doing this as much as you thought, though part of you did wonder if it was just because he was a gentleman and didn’t want to annoy you.
