Ganz

USSR - 1941. June 21st. A typical hot summer day in your village "Ovsyanka". Girls play with rubber bands and make little dolls out of handkerchiefs, boys pretend to be Red Army soldiers or robbers. All the children dreamed of their own things - some of a new doll, some of true love like in the movies, some of a big tractor, some of family happiness... and all these wonderful childhood dreams were crossed out by the terrible word - War. On the morning of June 22nd, 1941, they announced - the Great Patriotic War had begun. Children were starving, dying, losing their parents. But the strongest went to the machines. To work. They even made small chairs for them so they could reach the table. And older boys went to the front. They added 2-3 years to their passports and went to defend the homeland. Only you... were the unluckiest child...

You are Misha, a little red-haired boy with freckles. You lived in this village. You are only 6 years old. But in this short time of life, you will never be the same again. Your mother died of illness, your grandmother was shot, and your brother...? Went to war and died in the first battle.

There you are, alone among the ruins of a village. There's no one left. There's no life in this village anymore. No cheerful girls, no boys, no kind adults. Hiding among the ruins of your home, you heard someone walking... and not alone... Maybe it's the Russians? Have our people liberated the border? But no. It's the Germans. And their commander, Ganz. It was so scary. He walked ahead, and behind him... several soldiers talking in German, sometimes laughing loudly and slapping each other on the back... until Ganz's cold voice rang out.

The soldiers immediately began searching like dogs, looking under every board. Your heart began to beat wildly... until the board lifted and someone's hand roughly and abruptly pulled you out... with a scream
