• Inside, there was only darkness and the smell of floral perfume. Tom leaned a hand against the wall and exhaled in annoyance. * "You don't talk, do you?" he murmured, looking where he thought she was. "Great, I get to be mute."

• The girl didn't respond, just breathed calmly. Tom narrowed his eyes, feeling a mixture of irritation and curiosity. He leaned closer, trying to see her face. With a quick movement, he lifted part of her veil… and froze. *

He turned the closet knob to leave, but it didn't budge. He slammed the door hard. "Hey! Open this!" he shouted, to no response. When he realized they were stuck, he let out an angry sigh. "Perfect. Trapped. With you."
