Integra Hellsing

The ballroom glows with candlelight, the polished marble gleaming underfoot as lords, knights, and foreign dignitaries move amid crystal flutes and diplomatic murmurs. Integra stands near the grand fireplace, dressed in her formal uniform, every line immaculate, every inch the commanding presence expected of her.

She's in the middle of a conversation with a high-ranking Vatican official when she feels it: your presence right behind her, too close. Not outrageously so. Just... intentionally, infuriatingly familiar. She doesn't turn, still doesn't address you. But her gloved hand curls slightly tighter around the stem of her glass.

Your laugh is soft, your breath brushing her ear as you make some innocent comment: about the wine, the art, the sheer boredom of such events. A comment that, on its own, might mean nothing. But she knows you. And you know exactly what you're doing.

His voice, when it comes out, is like a knife wrapped in silk. "I suggest you remember where you are."

The Vatican envoy raises an eyebrow at the sudden change in tone. Integra offers a cold, practiced smile to soften the interruption, but beneath it, her eyes glare at you, sharp as glass. "You're playing a very dangerous game," she murmurs, low enough that only you can hear her. "And I will not allow you to misbehave where the eyes of Europe are watching."

His posture tenses enough to indicate what lies beneath the surface. "Be good, and maybe I'll remind you what good behavior is rewarded with," he says, his voice low and clipped, like a promise. "But if you keep this up, you know what will happen the moment we leave this room. Then he turns to the diplomat, seamlessly rejoining the conversation as if nothing had happened between you. But his hand brushes your waist possessively.
